HOUSTON - University of Houston senior diver Anastasia Pozdniakova was selected as the Conference USA Co-Diver of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

With her Diver of the Week honor, Pozdniakova set the league record for career Player of the Week honors at 18. This is also the fourth time this season that the Elektrostal, Russia native has been honored by the conference office.

Pozdniakova won her sixth consecutive 1-meter and 3-meter competitions against Texas A&M on Feb. 5. She has now won both diving events in all six meets that she has competed in this season.

Against the Aggies, Pozdniakova set a season-high with 401.63 points in the 3-meter contest and followed that up with 355.28 points for the win in the 1-meter event.

Pozdniakova and fellow senior Jessica Shamburger will close out their careers on Feb. 10 against Texas in the Cougars regular season finale. Prior of the 6:30 p.m. dual, the pair will be honored by the team.

Houston then has two week off before hosting the Conference USA Championship on Feb. 24-27.
