HOUSTON – The American Athletic Conference announced its 2018 All-Conference Honors yesterday afternoon, tabbing 13 Cougars to the 2018 All-Conference team.
The American All-Conference team is comprised of 42 women who finished among the top-three in an event at the 2018 American Championships. Houston, fresh off of its second consecutive American Athletic Conference Championship posted 826 points, 23 podium finishes, and 9 conference championships en route to the programs second conference championship under Head Coach Ryan Wochomurka.
Houston leads the American with 13 All-Conference selections, three more than the 10 selections from the 2016-17 season. For the second straight year, Wochomurka earned American Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year Honors becoming the second coach in program history to earn the honor more than once.

For the first time since the 2009 season, Houston will have three swimmers representing the Cougars at the NCAA Championships. Brown, Yuskova and Kondis will represent Houston in Ohio from March 14-18.
