MESA, Ariz. – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving program’s third day at the TYR Pro Series in Mesa was highlighted by a pair of top-four performances from sophomore Peyton Kondis.
Kondis started the day off with a third-place finish in the prelims of the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 31.81 to advance to finals. Angeliki Mavrantza touched the wall at 33.54 for a 11th-place finish and Hannah Middleton finished at 35.10 for a 38th-place finish in the event. In the evening session, Kondis earned her highest finish thus far, finishing the race at 31.82 and fourth overall.
Isabel Tank turned in a 50th-place finish in the 50 Butterfly with a time of 29.95 and a 62nd-place finish in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 27.73.
Houston will return to action tomorrow morning for the final day of action in Mesa, Ariz. at 11 a.m. CT
