Coral Springs, Fla. - University of Houston sophomore diver Courtney Forcucci finished competition Monday in the Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships preliminaries in Florida.

The Fort Mill, S.C. native finished 9th in the 1-meter competition scoring 203.20 points and was 17th in the 3-meter competition with 201.50 points. With her finishes she has qualified to compete in the semifinals on April 22 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Up for grabs at the National Championships are spots on the 2009 World University Games team. The World University Games are scheduled for July 2-12 in Belgrade, Serbia. The top two divers in each individual event at the Spring Nationals are eligible to represent the U.S. at the Games.
