HOUSTON – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving program and head coach Ryan Wochomurka announced dates for the program’s upcoming summer camp schedule, which will be divided into three different camps June 5-17 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
COMPREHENSIVE STROKE CAMP – Ages 7-17
Session 1: June 5-8
Session 2: June 12-15 (ALMOST FULL)
The Comprehensive Stoke Camp will provide the opportunity to improve each of the four strokes when it comes to not only technique but also training. Campers will learn new skills, drills, and strategies in a fun environment, both in and out of the pool.
STARTS AND TURNS CAMP – Ages 7-17
Session 1: June 9-10
Session 2: June 16-17 (ALMOST FULL)
The Starts and Turns Camp provides the opportunity to focus in on the fine details to improve starts, turns and breakouts for all four-strokes.
Cougar Tutor is a 1-hour long session where you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with one of the current University of Houston swimmers. Your Cougar Tutor will provide you with skills and drills of your choice of one or two strokes the Cougars use in their own collegiate training environment. You will also receive a written breakdown of those skills, drills, and tips after the lesson, and contact information for your Cougar Tutor so you can continue to follow up and refine your skills.
