Houston, TX - University of Houston head swim coach Ginger Hurley announced the signing of three student-athletes for the upcoming season. Incoming freshmen Meagan Wien, Kristin Eaves and Kristen Douglass will be eligible for the 2001-2002 season.

Douglass is a high school standout from Amarillo, Texas, where she finished 12th in the 50-freestyle and 16th in the 100-free at the 2001 state high school championships. Eaves, also a freestyle sprinter, is a native of College Station, Texas, and letterwinner at A&M Consolidated High School. Wien, a New Orleans native, will compete in the 100-butterfly and the 100-backstroke.
