HOUSTON – The Houston Swimming & Diving team will send three divers to compete in the Minnesota Diving Invitational at the Jean K. Freeman pool, Thursday and Friday.
The eight-team invitational will feature divers from Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Minnesota. Houston will compete in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter springboard events, with action set to begin each day at 10 a.m.
Houston is coming off of a flawless weekend in Colorado where the Cougars defeated Colorado State (174.50-122.50) and Northern Colorado (186-108).
The Cougars won both diving events at Colorado State led by Micaela Bouter who won the 1-Meter (302.40) and was trailed by Lauren Burrell with a second-place finish. The Cougars took all three of the top spots in the 3-Meter, led by Bouter with 316.28.
Houston swept the competition in the 3-Meter springboard at Northern Colorado after Bouter earned her third victory of the weekend posting a score of 328.25, followed by Burrell in second-place and Katelyn Abernathy in third. Burrell earned her first top-finish of the season in the 1-Meter with a final score of 267.22 and was trailed by Abernathy in second-place.

Houston will return home for the annual Phill Hansel Invitational Nov. 16-18 at the CRWC Natatorium.
