Went 15-9 against players from the Southwest region en route to a 23-17 campaign... Won six straight matches in the 128 field ITA Southwest Regionals in Austin, Texas, before bowing out in the finals to Tara Reid of Arkansas, 6-7, 4-6... Her effort at the ITA Southwest Regionals earned her an automatic bid to the Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Dallas, Texas, Feb. 4-7... In doubles action registered a 26-32 record with partner Galina Seliounina... Victorious in twelve consecutive matches during one stretch... Captured first place in both the Sterling Bank UH Fall Classic Flight A and in the Rice Fall Invitational Flight A.

Personal: Born Sarah Leah Borwell on Aug. 20, 1979, in Middlesbrough, England... Majoring in kinesiology... Daughter of David and Barbara Borwell... Her mother, Barbara, is a tennis coach... Came to Houston after one year at Rice University.

Ask Sarah: My favorite TV show is "Absolutely Fabulous"... My ideal dinner would be roast beef with potatoes, vegetables and gravy... The best advice anyone ever gave me was keep smiling... I consider myself considerate, crazy and friendly... If I went back in time, I would choose the 1970s as my destination because I love the music... My career goal is to be a professional tennis player... I chose the University of Houston because the school has an excellent tennis team.
