HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis team was defeated by New Orleans 6-1 Friday in a non-conference match at the John E. Hoff Varsity Courts.

Houston's Kami Miller was victorious in the No. 4 singles spot and teamed with Analia Longoni to defeat Julie Mazinova and Laetitia Zembski in the No. 2 double spot as the Cougars fell to 8-7 overall.

The Cougars will continue their eight-match home stand as they face non-conference opponent Rice Saturday at 11 a.m. at the John E. Hoff Courts.
