Despite sweeping to grab the doubles point Wednesday afternoon to take a lead heading into singles play, No. 75 University of Houston was not able to pull out a win over No. 51 Tulsa University, falling 5-2.

The Cougars took all three matches of doubles play with Miranda Foley and Biljana Dimovska grabbing an 8-5 win over Daniela Muscolino and Ilona Somers, Diana Martin and Karine Urbin defeating Zoe Buhagiar and Lisette Pereira 8-5 and the tandem of Kami Miller and Yolandi Terblanche beating Santie Delport and Kindsay Grimes 8-4.

In singles action, Terblanche was the only Cougar to come away with a win, defeating Timberly Greenly 6-1, 6-2.

Santie Delport (Tulsa) def. Kami Miller (Houston), 6-7, 7-6, 10-4

Doubles Foley/Dimovska (Houston) def. Muscolino/Somers (Tulsa), 8-5

Martin/Urbin (Houston) def. Buhagiar/Pereira (Tulsa), 8-5
