HOUSTON - In their second match of the day, the University of Houston blanked Sam Houston State 6-0 at t he John E. Hoff Tennis Courts to improve to 12-9 on the year. The Cougars head to the Conference USA Tournament in Louisville, Ky, Wednesday afternoon where they will be the number three seed.

The Cougars had three players win 6-0, 6-0 as Biljana Dimovska blanked Mounia Hassib at No. 2, Yolandi Terblanche swept Erika Rudich at number four and Kami Miller dispatched Samantha Edelman in the six spot in just 35 minutes.

Miranda Foley won in the number one spot with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Emma McDougal, Diana Martin defeated Cristina Flores 6-1, 6-1 in the three spot and Karine Urbin defeated Amanda Jung 6-1, 6-0 in her final match on the U of H campus.
