Houston, Texas - Seniors Sarah Borwell, Jo Keene, and Kailey Meisinger close out careers as the Cougar tennis team(9-10) pulled out a close 4-3 win over the Mean Green of North Texas in the season's final home match of the year at John E. Hoff Tennis Courts.

Jo Keene and Jen Baccarani led the Cougar attack by securing victories in their doubles match as well as their individual matches. In doubles they defeated Alain and Rettenmaier of North Texas by the score of 8-6. Baccarani earned another win in the 1 spot by defeating Sandy Kanury (6-2, 7-6), while Keene delivered a win in the 2 spot over Catherine Alain (6-3, 6-4).

Kailey Meisinger and Analia Longoni defeated Kristen Beedy and Benita Bittner 8-3 in doubles action, allowing the Cougars to grab the doubles point despite defaulting the third match to North Texas. Longoni also pulled out a big win in singles over Natalie Clore 6-0, 6-0.

Houston Tennis will be back in action on the road at 3:30pm Tuesday, April 16 when they take on cross-town rival Rice.
