    Final Stats

HOUSTON - For the first time in ten years the University of Houston Tennis team had players invited to the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles, California.

Freshman Despoina Vogasari became the first singles competitor since Biljana Dimovska in 2004 to compete in the tournament. Voagasari took set one from Pepperdine's 4 Matea Cutura 6-3 before dropping set two 6-4. Vogasari fought hard in set three to force a tie-breaker but eventually fell 7-6(5).

Voagasri then teamed up with fellow Cougar newcomer Maria Andrea Caredenas to compete in doubles competition. Unfortunately the duo would fall 8-4 to Franziska Goettsching and Sarah Gong from California-Irvine to end the Cougar's run in the tournament.
