Women's Tennis Back in Action this Weekend

Oct. 7, 2007

HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis Cougar Fall Draw was rained out on the final day today at the John E. Hoff Courts. Matches were set to start at 8:00 a.m. this morning, but were postponed due to wet courts. After a late start players got a warm-up in and began play but 15 minutes later were forced off the courts by another rainstorm.

"This is unfortunate," head coach John Severance said. "We were really looking forward to finishing the tournament and getting more matches in. I wish we could control the weather, but we can't."

The Cougars finish the fall season with a trip to Lubbock, Texas where they will compete in the ITA Regional Tournament on October 18-21.
