HOUSTON - The University of Houston tennis team suffered its third defeat of the season on Thursday afternoon at the John E. Hoff Tennis Courts to No. 39 Texas A&M 5-2.

The Cougars led at the beginning of the match, taking two out of three matches in doubles-play. Houston players Diana Martin and Kami Miller teamed up to defeat the Aggie duo of Anna Blagodarova and Tiffany Clifford 8-3

Also in doubles-play, junior Yolandi Terblanche and freshman Brianna Bateup teamed up to defeat A&M's Seva Iwinski and Helga Viera 8-6.

With a record of 10-0 in singles play prior to today, Biljana Dimovska has been a dominant player so far this season for the Cougars. Today Dimovska faced off against Anna Lubinsky, who is ranked as the No. 54 singles player nationally. Dimovska fell in two tough fought sets, forcing extra play to Lubinsky in a 7-6, 7-6 loss.

The lone singles win for the Cougars on Thursday came from Terblanche. She faced off against A&M's Marissa Druss, and came away victorious 7-5, 6-1.
