Cougar Tennis Earns Second Player of the Week Award

Houston's Jen Baccarani is the Conference USA Women's Tennis Player of the
Week for the period ending March 11. The junior closed the week on a
three-match winning streak. She downed UAB's Natascha Immele, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3
and No. 83 Ines Khelifi of Virginia Tech, 6-2, 6-3. Against Penn State's
Maaria Husain, Baccrani overcame a third set deficit to win, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.
In singles, Baccarani is 8-3 overall and 3-1 in Conference USA. She and
Sarah Borwell have teamed to go 9-2 in doubles matches.
