Clemson, S.C. - The University of Houston women's tennis team was defeated by Clemson 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Though Houston won the doubles point, Clemson swept the singles matches to claim the victory. The Cougars are now 2-10 on the season.

The Cougars won two out of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. In the top position, the duo of Borwell and Rapp defeated Anna Savitskaya and Laurence Jayet 8-2. Houston's Karine Urbin and Sarah Flood were also victorious downing Christina Odlock and Ana Stiglic 8-1 at two doubles.

UH is next back in action on Thursday March 22 as they play host to Kansas at the UH Varsity Courts. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm.
