HOUSTON, TX. - The University of Houston women's tennis team lost its third straight match, falling to Kansas 1-6 Thursday afternoon at the UH Varsity Courts.

Houston's sole victory came at number-four singles where freshman Joanne Keen ousted KU's Lisa Mallaiah, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1. The Cougars fell in straight sets in four of the remaining singles matches while defaulting one match. The Jayhawks also swept the doubles competition.

UH is next back in action this Saturday, as they host Conference USA rival Tulane at the UH Varsity Courts. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
