    HOUSTON -- The University of Houston women's tennis team was defeated by Tulsa1-5, Wednesday afternoon at the Houston Metropolitan Racket Club. The Cougars are now 4-10 overall.

    The sole UH victory came at the number-one singles position where junior Sarah Borwell continued her hot streak downing Bianca Posada, 6-2, 6-3. Houston fell in straight sets in three of the remaining five singles matches, with newcomer Joanne Keene extending Tulsa's Marjolean Van Dongen to three before falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Cougar sophomore Annie Rapp also took Zoe Bonagiar to three sets before bowing out 7-6, 2-6, 6-2. There were no doubles matches played between the two teams.

    Houston returns to action this Sunday, April 1, when they take on the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Match time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama Outdoor-Varsity Courts.
