NEW ORLEANS, La. - The University of Houston women's tennis team will begin competition in the 2003 Conference USA Tournament against Saint Louis Saturday at noon in New Orleans.

The Cougars (11-8, 1-2 C-USA) earned a No. 3 seed in the 14-team double-elimination tournament and will face the No. 13 Billikens in Round One.

Defending C-USA Champion Tulane (13-4) will serve as the host institution and is favored to win the 2003 tournament.
