The Middlesbrough, England, native finished her UH career with a career singles record of 130-56, ranking her second in program history for career wins. In addition, Borwell, along with partner Galina Seliounina, also ranks eighth in program history in with 26 career doubles wins.

Current UH head coach John Severance coached Borwell during her senior year as the Cougars' assistant coach, while current UH assistant Jo Keene was a teammate of Borwell.
