HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston tennis team will open the fall 2003 season at the Rice Invitational Friday at Rice University.

The Cougars will be in action all day Friday Saturday and Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All three days will begin with doubles play. For several players,

Three players for Houston will be playing their first match for the Cougars on Friday. Diana Martin, a transfer from Lee College, Biljana Dimovska, a transfer from Brenau University and Hanaa Rhazi who did not compete last season.

The Rice Invitational is the first competition of the year and will feature regional competition.
