Tennis Hits the Courts This Weekend for Cougar Fall Draw

HOUSTON--The University of Houston tennis team will host the Cougar Fall Draw exhibition tournament, beginning Friday at John E. Hoff Courts. Flights A will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday and will include Sophomore Joanna Kacprzyk competing against Lee's Audrey Hernandez and sophomore Lucy Forward playing Lauren Gutterman from Southern Miss. Sophomore Laura Ring will play Giorgia Pozzan from Sam Houston State, while senior Lynley Wasson will compete against Maria Frausto Cornish from McNeese. In Flights B, senior Vicky Simpson will play Zoe Lee from Southern Miss, while freshman Alix Young will play Stasa Vujosevic from Sam Houston State. These matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the final matches in the Flight B will begin. Senior Jordan McCombs will play Hanna Bihorac from McNeese and junior Neila Starratt will play Shannon Rogers from Southern Miss. Winners of both Flight A and Flight B matches will play at 1 p.m. Friday. For doubles matches, Wasson and Starratt will team against Lee and Rogers (Southern Miss). McCombs and Simpson will play Morgane Dadot and Ashley Longoria from Southeastern Louisiana. Ring and Forward will play Sam Houston State's Patricia Manzur and Eleonora Kuruc. Kacprzyk and Young will play Petra Gudelj and Inga Efimenko from McNeese State. All of the doubles matches will begin at 11 a.m. Friday. Up Next
