MILWAUKEE, WI - The University of Houston tennis team defeated Conference USA rival Marquette as well as Michigan this past weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Houston was led by junior Galina Seliounina who won both of her singles matches. Seliounina defeated Elisa Penalvo of Marquette 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 on Friday night and then went on to defeat Danielle Lund of Michigan in straight sets. Seliounina also found success in doubles along with partner, sophomore Sarah Borwell as they won both matches handily. UH dominated the singles ranks over the weekends by Luciane Kelbert and Joanna Cunliffe going undefeated in two matches.

The Cougar tennis team returns to action this weekend with a match against Arkansas on friday and a match against Fresno State on Saturday both matches will be played in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
