Cross Country: Competed in the Rice Invitational…finished 16th with a time of 13:01.56 helping the Lady Cougars to a third-place finish. Indoor: Her season-best mile time of 5:25.37 was good for a 12th-place finish at the Oklahoma Classic…posted a seventh-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the Hilton Memorial Invitational with a time of 11:14.30. Outdoor: Did not compete.
High School
A key member of both the track and cross country teams at Friendswood High School…qualified for the state championships in cross country three times…as a junior she qualified for the track state championships in the 1600 meters…as a senior was named to the all-Texas cross country team.

Born March 17, 1982, in Houston, Texas…daughter of Danny and Kathleen Mascorro of Friendswood, Texas…father, Danny, competed in track for Lamar and sister, Karole, was on the Texas track squad…in high school was active in the PALs and was a member of the National and Spanish Honor Societies…enjoys collecting Beanie Babies…also recruited by Texas A&M, Texas-San Antonio, East Tennessee State and Army…majoring in business administration.
