Indoor: Her season-best pole vault of 11-05.75 was good enough for a third-place finish at the Southwest Classic…cleared 11-01.75 for a ninth-place finish at the Houston Indoor Invitational. Outdoor: Placed third in the pole vault at the Texas Southern Relays with a clearance of 11-01.75…had a mark of 10-06.00 in the pole vault to finish seventh at the C-USA Championships.
2000
Indoor: Did not compete. Outdoor: Finished runner-up to her teammate Rhian Clarke in the pole vault at the Conference USA Championships with a mark of 11-01.75… won the pole vault at the TSU Relays with a leap of 10-06.00…a clearance of 9-06.25 at the College Station Relays was good enough for second place.
High School
Three-time all-District 20-3A champion and regional qualifier in 1600 meters and two-time champion in 3200 meters…qualified for UIL Class 3A State meet in 1998…also was a second-team all-district performer in basketball and volleyball…earned all-District 20-3A Academic honors in 1999…named Columbus Female MVP and Homecoming Queen... member of the National Honor Society, Physics Club, Miss Columbus HS and Spanish Club…served as president of the Student Council.
