Clarke won the pole vault with a mark of 12 feet, 5 1/2 inches. Rzepecki won the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:28.75 and finished in fifth place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.51.

Houston also finished third in the women's 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays with times of 46.08 seconds and 3:45.34, respectively.

In the men's division, Jeff Mueller and Robert Foster were Houston's top performers. Mueller finished second in the men's high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 11 3/4 inches, while Foster was third in the 200 meter dash with a legal time of 20.91 seconds.

Billy Leavings also was third in the men's pole vault with a mark of 15 feet, 7 inches.

Houston will travel to Waco, Texas on April 21, when the Cougars compete in the Michael Johnson/Southwestern Bell Classic.
