Alisha McKee enters her second season with the Cougar volleyball program in 2009. McKee joined Houston after completing a successful collegiate volleyball career at Fresno State. At Houston, she assists the staff with on- court coaching and assists in the Cougars recruiting efforts.

McKee helped the Cougars to a 20-12 overall record. It marked the program's first 20-win season since 2000. The Cougars also finished with a 10-6 league record and a fourth place finish in the C-USA standings. They defeated Tulsa in the opening game of the C-USA Tournament, 3-1, before a second round defeat left them one game shy of the championship.

A four-year letterman with the Bulldogs, McKee was named to the Western Athletic Conference Second Team during her senior campaign. She consistently ranked in the top 10 in kills per game in the WAC. As a senior, McKee set career-high marks in attempts (62), service aces (3), digs (12), solo blocks (2) and points (24.5). She also finished her career ranked 10th all-time in total attempts with 2,551.

As a junior, McKee finished third on the team with 227 kills and in points (249.5), while being fifth on the team in blocks (35). McKee appeared in 25 matches, starting 21 as a sophomore, finishing second on the team in blocks and block assists. During her freshman campaign, McKee appeared in 16 matches. With the volleyball team, McKee and her teammates won a community service award from 2005-07 for their work in the community.

McKee also excelled in the classroom while playing for the Bulldogs. She was a four-time Fresno State Scholar Athlete and was named to the 2005-06 Dean's List. McKee was also named an Academic All-WAC Scholar Athlete from 2005-07.

The Goodland, Kan., native also spent time coaching the Madera Volleyball Club and the Red Wave Extreme Volleyball team. McKee graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is single and lives in Houston.
