1998: Member of the UCLA volleyball team but did not play in any matches during her (redshirt) sophomore season...

1997: Redshirted the season at UCLA in order to fully recover from injury the previous year...

1996: Played in eight matches and in 15 games as a true freshman at UCLA...made the most of her first start of the season, leading the Bruins with 14 kills and making four defensive digs at rival USC on September 28...suffered a knee injury at practice two days later (Sept. 30) which would keep her out of action the next two years...logged seven service aces in eight games for a percentage of 0.47...served a career-high three aces in a win over Weber State...tallied 30 kills in 98 attempts with 15 digs and six blocks before injury...

High School /Club Volleyball: Selected toVolleyball  magazine's Fab 50 as one the nation's top prospects...two-time all-state and all-Greater Houston honoree at Cypress Falls High School...led the Golden Eagles to the Region III semifinals as a senior in 1995... spiked 279 kills, stuffed 144 blocks and recorded 242 digs as a senior...earned first team all-District 16-5A three times...was coached in volleyball at Cypress Falls by Kathy Stephenson... also earned varsity letter in basketball...versatile player who starred at middle and outside hitter for Texas Elite Club team...

Personal: Born July 27, 1978, in Houston...parents are James and Doris Wittenburg...enjoys playing beach volleyball, watching old movies and spending time with friends...favorite classes are math and government.
