New Orleans, La. - The University of Houston volleyball team lost their third straight match this weekend when they traveled to face the Tulane Green Wave on Sunday. The Cougars lost 3-0 with scores of 24-30, 15-30 and 20-30.

Houston (12-13, 7-7 C-USA) was led by junior Justine Farmer and freshman Amanda Carson. Farmer had 14 kills and Carson recorded 13 digs to pace the Cougars.

The Cougars trailed in game one 21-11 before mounting a comeback to pull within six, 27-21, but it would be as close as they got falling behind early in the match 0-1.

UH was never able to recover from the early loss and they would fall to the Green Wave in three straight games. The Cougars were held to their lowest hitting percentage of the season at .075 while the Green Wave hit .369 for the game.

Last time the two schools met this season, Houston notched the win 3-0 at the Athletics Alumni Center. In the win Farmer had 20 kills and 13 digs while freshman Hannah Sullivan added 15 kills and eight digs.

Houston moved to 22-5 in the all-time series with the Green Wave and 17-5 under head coach Bill Walton.

The Green Wave was led by Kseija Vlaskovic and Jenn Miller who has 12 kills and 20 digs, respectively.

Houston returns home for their final matches of the regular season next weekend. The Cougars will play SMU on Nov. 9 and Tulsa on Nov. 11 before the Conference USA Volleyball Championships on Nov. 15-18.
