IRVING - Kelsey King was named Conference USA Co-Setter of the Week Monday afternoon as announced by the league office. This was the third career weekly award for King, who was a two-time Big South Freshman of the Week winner at Birmingham Southern a season ago.

King fueled the Houston offense with a pair of 50-assist outings against Towson and No. 23 Ohio State. It was the first time in her career that the Birmingham Southern transfer put together back-to-back 50-assist performances.

The sophomore concluded the weekend with a bang, igniting the Cougar attack to a .405 attack percentage against Robert Morris. Houston started the afternoon with scorching .440 and .458 attack numbers in games one and two against the Colonials.

The San Antonio native also set the Houston attack to a .444 clip in a critical game five against Towson. King added 11 kills at a .360 attack rate in addition to 12 digs for the weekend.

Houston heads to Waco this weekend for the Baylor Invitational. The Cougars will face Arkansas-Little Rock and New Mexico on day one. First serve against UALR is set for 10am, while action against the Lobos is scheduled for 2pm. Live stats for both matches will be available on UHCougars.com
