HOUSTON - The University of Houston has cancelled all volleyball matches this week at the Athletics/Alumni Center as a result of Hurricane Ike. The Cougars will instead remain on the road and play in the UT Arlington/Holiday Inn Invitational on Sept. 19-20.

The Cougars were scheduled to hold their home opener on Sept. 17 against Lamar with the Flo Hyman Invitational to take place on Sept. 19-20.

No plans have been made to reschedule the matches.

Houston will now travel to Arlington, Texas on the campus of UT Arlington for a two-day tournament. The Cougar will play three matches on Sept. 19-20 at the UT Arlington/Holiday Inn Invitational.

UH will face Arkansas-Little Rock at 1pm and host UT Arlington at 7pm on Friday, concluding with New Mexico at 1pm on Saturday.
