HOUSTON - The University of Houston volleyball team travels to Orlando, Fla., Friday, to face UCF at 6pm in their first Conference USA road test of the 2007 season. Houston will return home to play Southern Miss at 1pm on Sunday at the Athletics/Alumni Center.

Houston (6-6, 1-0 C-USA) swept the Knights (8-6, 0-0 C-USA) last season at home with scores of 30-28, 30-27 and 30-19. The Cougars are 3-0 in the all-time series and 3-0 in the Bill Walton era.

UCF enters the match on a two-match win streak after posting a second place finish at the USF Best Western Invitational last weekend. The Knights, who are undefeated at home this season, are led by Jenny Heppert whose 67 blocks rank second in C-USA.

The Cougars will return home on Sunday to face the Golden Eagles (9-7, 0-0 C-USA) who will play Rice Friday before traveling to Houston. Houston is 14-2 in the all-time series and 14-1 will Walton at the helm.

Southern Miss defeated Southeastern Louisiana 3-0 on Tuesday, extending their win streak to six. The Golden Eagles are led by Morgan Johnson who has 165 kills on the season.

Houston is coming off a 3-0 weekend at the Houston Tournament where they defeated C-USA rival Rice, Stephen F. Austin and Wake Forest.

Following this weekend's action Houston will be on the road for three straight matches starting Sept. 27 at Rice and then Oct. 5 at Tulsa and Oct. 7 at SMU.
