HOUSTON - After spending more than a month on the road, the University of Houston volleyball team returns home to the Athletics/Alumni Center for Conference USA action this weekend.

Houston (4-13, 1-1 C-USA) welcomes Tulane for a match on Oct. 2 and they will face-off against UTEP on Oct. 3. Both matches are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.

The Cougars take an impressive 13-0 record in C-USA home openers into Friday's match. UH has never lost a league home opener since joining C-USA in 1996.

Gametracker and live video streaming will be available for both matches. Links to these can be found on the volleyball schedule page at www.UHCougars.com. A complete recap of each match will also be available on the Athletics website.

Houston is coming off a 1-1 performance last weekend during their C-USA opening weekend. The Cougars lost their C-USA opener to UAB (3-1) and came away with win over Memphis (3-1). UH fell to 9-5 in league openers with the loss to the Blazers.

When Houston takes to the court against the Green Wave, it will be the 30th overall meeting between the two programs, with Houston holding a 22-7 advantage in the overall series. Tulane got the best of Houston last season, winning all three match-ups.

The all-time series against the Miners stands at 8-3 in the Cougars' favor. UH split matches against UTEP last season, losing 3-0 on the road and taking a 3-1 win at home.

Tulane enters the weekend with a 7-4 overall record and a 3-0 mark in league action. They are currently in a tie for first place in the C-USA standings. Green Wave sophomore Visnja Djurdjevic was named College Volleyball Update's National Player of the Week after leading Tulane to wins over Tulsa and SMU last weekend.

UTEP stands at 2-1 in C-USA and holds a 9-7 overall record. Tulane's Jennifer Nolasco was named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Miners to wins over Tulsa and SMU.
