HOUSTON (Oct. 9) - University of Houston senior Jennifer Wittenburg and University of Cincinnati sophomore Trish Ladusaw have been named the Conference USA Co-Players of the Week the league office announced on Monday, October 9.

Wittenburg helped UH extend its win-streak to 10-consecutive matches with three C-USA road victories last week. In addition to hitting a composite .299 with a team-leading 164 attempts, Wittenburg averaged 7.20 kills and 4.90 defensive digs per game on the road. The Houston native and former standout from Cy-Falls High school also averaged 0.90 blocks per game and spiked 30 kills in a match for the fourth time this season in a win at UAB (October 6).

Cincinnati's Trish Ladusaw shared the league honor after averaging 5.22 digs and 3.89 kills per game while hitting .333 and leading the Bearcats to a 3-0 record last week. She hit .481 with a team-high 16 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 win over Southern Miss. Ladusaw helped extend UC's home-court winning streak to 15 matches, the fourth-longest in the nation.

The University of Houston volleyball team (14-3) will next be in action at home in Hofheinz Pavilion on Friday, October 13. The Cougars will take on C-USA foe Marquette beginning at 7:30 p.m.
