HOUSTON - The University of Houston volleyball team looks to extend its three-match win streak this weekend when they travel to East Carolina and Marshall for two Conference USA matches.

The Cougars open the weekend with a 6pm match against the Pirates and will conclude the weekend at noon against the Thundering Herd.

All matches will be available for fans to follow using the Gametracker link of the schedule page.

The Cougars enter the weekend having won its last three matches, including C-USA wins over Tulsa and SMU and Texas State in a mid-week non-conference match-up.

Sophomore Lucy Charuk tied a career-high and led the match with 21 kills against Texas State. She added eight block assists and two digs with a .500 hitting percentage.

Senior Justine Farmer had 19 kills and 14 digs in the win to give her five double-doubles on the year.

UH takes a 7-1 all-time record against East Carolina into Friday's match. The Cougars won the only match between the two schools last season, 3-1. The Pirates are 11-9 this season and 1-4 in C-USA.

Against Marshall, Houston will look to improve is 1-4 all-time records, including a 3-0 loss to the Thundering Herd last season. Marshall holds an 8-7 record this season and a 1-4 mark in C-USA.

Farmer and Carson continue to lead the league in kills and service aces per set. Farmer has 235 kills this season, averaging 3.73 per set while Carson has 31 aces with a 0.48 per set average.

Charuk ranks third in blocks with 1.17 per set and her .332 hitting percentage is the fifth-best in the league. Senior setter Kelsey King is also fourth in assists averaging 10.42 per set.

Following the weekend trip, Houston will return to home to play host to UCF and Southern Miss on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18, respectively.
