    Houston, TX. -- The University of Houston volleyball team snapped a two-match losing streak with a three-games to none sweep of Conference USA rival Memphis Friday night in Hofheinz Pavilion. With a 15-2, 15-3, 15-8 win the Cougars improved to 16-5 overall and 9-2 in league play.

    Houston was paced by senior outside hitter Bobbi Stewart. The local standout from Dobie High School led all players with 14 kills while making eight defensive digs. Senior Michelle Frazier hit for .375 percentage and posted five blocks in the three games. Defensively UH held Memphis to an .022 hitting percentage as team. The Tigers remained winless in C-USA action, falling to 0-11 in conference and 8-17 overall.

    The Cougars will next face Conference USA rival UAB at home in Hofheinz Pavilion on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 29. First serve with the Blazers will be at 2:00 p.m.
