Houston, Tex. (September 1) -- The No. 2 ranked Stanford women's volleyball hit for a .324 percentage and posted 14 team blocks on the way to a three games to none sweep of the University of Houston in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday September 1.

Led by Tara Conrad, Jennifer Detmer and three-time All-American Kerri Walsh, the Cardinal coasted to a 15-8, 15-5, 15-11 win in front of 1,028 fans in Hofheinz Pavilion on the UH campus.
