Houston Volleyball Team Sweeps Marquette, 3-0

    MILWAUKEE (Oct. 15) -- The University of Houston women's volleyball team won its tenth-consecutive match and remained perfect in Conference USA play with a three games to none sweep of league rival Marquette Friday night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Junior middle blocker Michelle Frazier spiked 12 kills with .417 hitting percentage in helping lead UH to a 15-5, 15-10, 15-9 win. Bobbi Stewart added 10 kills and 12 defensive digs as the Cougars improved to 13-5 and kept alive the country's ninth-longest active win streak, now at ten consecutive victories. Houston also remained undefeated in C-USA play at 8-0.

    Houston will be back home in Hofheinz Pavilion for its next match on Sunday, October 17. The Cougars will take on DePaul to complete its C-USA weekend matches. First serve with the Blue Demons is slated for 2:00 p.m.
