Ali White joined the University of Houston Athletics Cougar Pride development department in the fall of 2024 as Associate Athletic Director of Development. Responsible for major gifts, overseeing philanthropic initiatives that advance Houston Athletics' strategic priorities.
Prior to joining Houston's Cougar Pride, White served as Assistant Athletics Director and interim Senior Associate Athletics Director at Tulane where she and her team secured $45 million in commitments to launch the Investing in Excellence campaign, while overseeing the department's most successful fundraising year in history.
White developed and executed a comprehensive strategy that yielded substantial capital improvements and programmatic endowments benefiting multiple varsity sports, including football, baseball, sailing, and women's golf. Additionally, she orchestrated the strategic redevelopment and expansion of the Olive & Blue Society, recognizing Tulane athletics most generous supporters.
From 2019-2022, White served as an Associate Director of Leadership Giving for the Cal Athletics Fund at UC Berkeley, where she contributed to record-breaking fundraising achievements, helping the Golden Bears surpass $41 million raised in fiscal year 2021. She co-chaired the Gender Equity Campaign, that secured $8 million in capital funding to close the Title IX gap, providing facilities for softball and beach volleyball.
Prior to her career in collegiate athletics, White established herself as an accomplished leader in professional and amateur golf. Her comprehensive portfolio encompasses nearly two decades of expertise in external operations, including oversight of ticketing, group sales, marketing, event management, and licensing. Her professional journey includes significant contributions to organizations such as the USGA, Northern California Golf Association (NCGA), PGA, and private golf clubs.
An Indiana native, White holds an MBA from Tulane University and completed her undergraduate studies while competing as a dual-sport athlete in softball and golf.
