Cougars host PVAMU in home opener before heading to UIW
HOUSTON – Houston will return home to the Carl Lewis Complex for a Friday matchup with Prairie View A&M before returning to the road against Incarnate Word on Aug. 26.

The Houston Soccer program is excited to celebrate 20 years of Houston soccer this season. The team unveiled a logo on June 14 that represents 20 years of Houston soccer. The logo is featured on one of the three uniforms that the Cougars will wear throughout the season.

The Houston Athletics Ticket Office is proud to offer season tickets for the 2018-19 athletic season. For just $25, Cougar fans can purchase one season ticket, which allows season-long general admission entrance to all Houston Soccer matches. To purchase a season ticket, click HERE. Fans that purchase a season ticket will enter the game on a VIP List at the entrance to each sport facility. Please bring a Photo ID.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- The Cougars opened their 2018 season on the road at Houston Baptist last weekend, falling to the Huskies in a 3-1 decision. Houston then faced 2017 Southland conference regular season and tournament champion Lamar, falling to the Cardinals 2-0.
- Houston posted a 5-2-1 record last season inside the Carl Lewis Complex.
- Nine newcomers have seen action this season for the Cougars.
- Desiree Bowen is tied for second in The American in shots with eight so far this season
- Rachel Estopare is third in The American with eight saves this season
- The Cougars have outshot their opponents 35-22 this season and have accumulated three more corner kicks than their opponents this season.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
- Houston leads the all-time series with the Panthers 1-0-0
- PVAMU is 0-1-0 this season, suffering a 0-1 loss to McNeese in its home opener
- The Panthers racked up an NCAA leading 20 saves against McNeese last weekend after the Cowgirls racked up 25 shots.
- Houston is in its first season under Head Coach Sonia Curvelo

- Houston leads the all-time series 2-0-0
- Incarnate Word is 0-1-0 this season after falling to North Texas on the road last weekend
- UIW is being outshot by opponents 37-2 this season.
