Houston drops opening-round tilt to BYU
OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Houston Softball team fell, 4-0, to six-seed BYU in the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship on Wednesday evening on OGE Energy Field at Devon Park.
Redshirt sophomore Nicole Bodeux (3-9) suffered the loss in the circle for Houston (22-25) after giving up three runs on six hits in five innings. BYU's (32-16) Kaysen Korth (16-6) picked up the victory while Jada Villegas earned her third save of the year.

3rd | After a pitching duel claimed the first two innings of the game, BYU took the lead in the third courtesy of a two-run homer off the bat of Ilove'a Brittingham.
6th | BYU added another pair of runs in the sixth to cap the scoring as Aleia Agbayani hit the team's second two-run homer of the contest.
