
PREVIEW: Houston Volleyball Opens Home Schedule with Flo Hyman Classic

Cougars host San Diego State, Omaha and LSU for tournament starting on Thursday
HOUSTON – Houston Volleyball starts its 2025 home slate on Thursday with the beginning of the Flo Hyman Classic, facing off against San Diego State, Omaha and LSU across three days inside Fertitta Center.Â
The weekend starts at 7 p.m., Thursday as Houston clashes with San Diego State. The match features the team's annual Dorm Challenge. The Houston dorm with the most attendees at the match will win Tiff's Treats delivered to the dorm. The first 100 UH students in attendance will get free pizza while all fans in attendance can receive the team's 2025 schedule poster and schedule magnet.
On Friday, Houston tangles with Omaha at 7 p.m. on Houston's Educator Appreciation Night. Houston area educators can receive discounted admission by clicking here to buy tickets.Â
The Cougars close the weekend on Sunday with a 4 p.m. tilt against LSU for Dads and Daughters Day. Dads and daughters can use a special ticket package while those in attendance can visit a princess-themed photo booth and craft their own tiaras.

- Houston is coming off a 3-0 showing in the team's season-opening weekend. The Cougars swept their way through the weekend, posting its first 9-0 set record to start the year in the NCAA Era (post-1981) and defeating FIU, Duke and Bryant.Â
