MISSOURI CITY, Texas - Four University of Houston golfers will compete as individuals during the upcoming Houston Baptist Husky Invitational in a recent addition to the team's schedule.
Junior Will Dusenbury, sophomores Jesse Droemer and Bryn Flanagan and senior Eric Adler will take part in the 54-hole tournament, which tees off with the first 36 holes Monday morning at Quail Valley Golf Club. The tournament wraps up with the final 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
With only four student-athletes competing, the Cougars will not register a team score for the final standings.
Dusenbury recently competed during the Lone Star Invitational as an individual, finishing in a tie for 50th. The League City, Texas, native, rebounded from a tough opening round to shoot a 69 at that event.
Droemer has appeared in two tournaments this season and competed in 10 events a year ago. He recently fired an opening round 71 at the Lone Star Invitational on Oct. 16 on the way to a 38th-place finish.
Flanagan was one of only three Cougars to compete in all 11 tournaments a year ago and made his season debut at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic on Sept. 26-27.
Adler will make his season debut.
Following the HBU Husky Invitational, the Cougars close out the fall season at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
