Houston Volleyball Falls 3-1 to Temple

HOUSTON - Senior hitter Kadi Kullerkann's 27-kill performance wasn't enough as Houston Volleyball dropped a four set match (19-25, 25-19, 17-25, 16-25) to American Athletic Conference opponent Temple.
Houston falls to 9-10 on the season, 1-6 in the conference while the Owls improve to 13-6, 4-3 in the conference.
Freshman setter Keandra McCardell picked up her sixth career double-double with 44 assists and 13 digs. The Cougars offensive leader also recorded two blocks against the Owls.
Kullerkann's 27 kills during Friday night's match was her fifth consecutive match with 20 or more kills. The Estonian native hit .351 and two blocks. She has totaled 391 kills this season, jumping into third in the nation for total kills.
Senior libero Natalie Keck notched 23 digs for her 3rd consecutive 20-dig performance, 11th of the season. She has tallied 380 digs so far this season adding to her 1,832 career digs. She is just 84 digs away from moving into second place in the school record books for career digs.
