Houston Volleyball Falls on Senior Day

HOUSTON -The University of Houston fell to UCF in four sets (20-25, 14-25, 25-22, 15-25) during the final home match of the season.
Seniors Natalie Keck, Kadi Kullerkann, Cortney Warren, Kaiti Waters and student manager Taylor Whileyman were honored following the match this afternoon in front of friends and family.
The Cougars (14-16, 6-12) dropped two tough sets to conference leader UCF (23-7, 16-2) leading into the half. But a relentless Houston wouldn't let the Knights off easy. The Cougars battled in set three, outplaying their opponent in several categories. The Cougars tallied three service aces and Warren hit an impressive .667 (6-0-9) against the Knight defense, leading Houston to a 25-22 victory. But, it was UCF who came out on top with a 25-15 win in set four to take the match, 3-1.
Warren led the Cougars with 16 kills, hitting .424 and two blocks. Kullerkann followed with 13 kills, picking up her 30th consecutive game with double-digit kills.
Keck notched 15 digs against the UCF Knights adding to her season total of 597. She is now the third most digs in a single season and is three digs shy of 600. Keck also had a perfect reception percentage keeping Houston's chances alive throughout the match.
UP NEXT
Houston Volleyball travels to UConn for a midweek match on Wednesday, Nov. 26. for a 6 p.m. match. Houston then travels to face Temple for the final conference match of the season on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m.
