Winter Golf Camp Set for Dec. 28-30

HOUSTON â€" The University of Houston Men's and Women's Golf programs will host a Winter Camp on Dec. 28-30 at the Golf Club of Houston, and interested players are encouraged to register soon as space is limited.
Camp is open to boys and girls, ages 12-18, with the curriculum designed for players who compete in tournaments. Space is limited to only 20 players, so interested campers should reserve their places soon.
Camp begins at 9 a.m., and runs until 4 p.m., on the first two days with the final day of camp dismissing at 1 p.m., Dec. 30. The cost to participate in each camp is $750.
REGISTRATION
Interested campers can register on-line at HoustonGolfCamp.com, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Campers also can mail their payments to University of Houston Golf, 3204 Cullen Blvd., Rm 2011, Houston, TX 77204.
Checks or money orders should be made payable to University of Houston Golf.
BENEFITS
Under the guidance of Houston Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke, Women's Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell, Houston assistant coaches and student-athletes, campers will be taught the practice habits of championship golfers, studying fitness, the mental game, college preparation, time management, course management, academics and team camaraderie.
Each camper also will receive a personal Trackman evaluation and will be filmed with high-definition cameras for full swing, short game and putting game analysis. Campers will leave with personal game plans for player development, including green-reading techniques, short-game development, course management and TPI fitness.
For the first time in the camp's history, campers also will receive a University of Houston golf bag.
UP NEXT
With the completion of The Alamo Invitational, the Women's team is in the middle of its winter break. Houston opens the spring campaign on Feb. 7-9, 2016, when it tees off at the UCF Challenge in Orlando.
The Men's program also is enjoying its winter break and opens the 2016 spring season on Feb. 19-21, 2016, at its own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas.
